About Me

Gemma Leigh Glover is a writer (ish) and Resource Management Professional, currently living in Chester.

Her initial publications pre-University were all poems, although during her Creative Writing degree at Leeds University, she betrayed poetry for novels and short stories.

In 2007, she was paid £25 when one of her short stories appeared in Riptide Volume 4 (http://www.riptidejournal.co.uk/shop/riptide-volume-4/)
Her now husband would not let her cash the cheque, framing it instead, and thus she is still unable to claim the title of 'Paid Writer'.

In the years since, Gemma has in the main, turned her back on writing, and tired to convince herself that she could be happy enough with a neat 9-5 and a flexible communication style.

However in November 2015 she completed the novel in a month challenge 'NaNoWriMo' and produced something  that was almost okay. This was quite the surprise.

Since that day, she has fallen back in love with writing, in a kind of clumsy, dazed way, and is suddenly determined to see this one through.

She has also armed herself with a Writing Group, a goal - one year, and a narcissistic blog.
